Charlestown Navy Yard Wedding for Joanna & Rory

Courageous Sailing Center Pier 4 Waterfront Wedding

I have some news.  News I’ve been pretending isn’t happening.  After over 11 years of living in Charlestown, THE BEST neighborhood in the entire world, my family and I are moving this summer to Andover.  I’m not actually ready to talk about it, but there is no question that it is the right move for my kiddos (and apparently I’m meant to prioritize their needs?).  I don’t know if it is ironic or fitting, but it felt very special that my first wedding of this season was in this magical place, was my first ever wedding to be here in Charlestown,   And magical it was.

The charm of this adorable neighborhood in undeniable, and despite the chilly, misty weather, Joanna & Rory had the perfect day that they deserved. Joanna and her wedding party got ready in their adorable apartment on the Training Field, then walked around the corner to St. Mary’s for the ceremony, after a private boat ride around the harbor, the bride & groom joined their guests for a reception on Pier 4 in the Navy Yard.  This place is special.  This couple is special.  To J & R, my neighbors, congratulations from the bottom of my heart.  And THANK YOU, for letting me into the planning of your special day, and have one last special experience with this neighborhood that will forever have my heart.
