Finding The Best Wedding Venue in Boston

- Top 5 Choices

Boston—a fabulous city full of historic landmarks, soaring skyscrapers, world-class museums, parks and gardens, a dynamic waterfront, shopping areas, and restaurants. This versatile location could be the perfect place to exchange your vows. Perhaps, you're already looking for a wedding venue here. Need help? I've got your back! Here’s a list of (in my opinion!) the 5 best venues in Boston to choose from.

 Boston Public Library

First up is a stunning spot that not only serves as a library (the first public library in the nation, built in 1888) but also a place to say your " I do’s." The Boston Public Library, with its ornate design, is an ideal wedding venue for couples wanting an unforgettable Boston wedding experience, in the heart of Copley Square. With over a dozen event spaces, both indoor and outdoor, within this historic building, there are endless combinations for creating your unique and perfect wedding flow.

The Newbury Hotel

Boston’s newest gem of a venue with food from the fabulous Major Food Group and a rooftop space designed by Ken Fulk won’t disappoint. Situated at the intersection of Newbury and Arlington Streets, The Newbury Hotel offers luxe rooms that can accommodate a range of wedding sizes and themes. If you want a grand bash or prefer an intimate Boston wedding, this is the perfect venue for you. The Hotel has a subtle, contemporary design that blends with its heritage as the original Ritz in the US and world-class views to create a unique atmosphere.

Elm Bank

For an outside the city vibe, The Gardens of Elm Bank, 30 minutes west of Boston is ethereal and elegant. The area, located on the Charles River, is composed of 36 acres of gardens, open fields, and historic buildings. This paradise could be a perfect backdrop for your ceremony and is definitely worth considering.

The Boch Center

The Boch Center, which I will refer to as The Wang Theater until the day I die, is a venue that deserves to be on the list. This storied theater is a beautiful historical landmark. It can accommodate 20 people for intimate nuptial ceremonies and up to a thousand guests for full-scale gatherings. Events can happen in the grand lobby, around the mezzanine, within the lower level that looks like a 1920’s speakeasy, and even on the stage. Encore!

The historical Wang Theater, now known as The Boch Center. Whatever you call it, it’s always a perfect place for a magical night.

The Crane Estate

The final wedding venue on the list in Boston is the Crane Estate (I know, not really Boston but I had to include it!). Here you’ll find Castle Hill, Crane Beach, and many more locations that could be perfect for your city wedding. A special event on the 2,100-acre Crane Estate will be remembered for a lifetime: its winding salt marshes, miles of barrier beach, and magnificent hilltop mansion make for a truly special celebration.
