Sara & Simon: 'Til the Wheels Come Off

Romantic Pine Brook Country Club Wedding

Add “Californication” to the list of shows I’m sure I’d love but will likely never get around to watching (along with Shameless, The Sopranos, and all seasons of Housewives).  Apparently the entire series ends with David Duchovny’s character telling his love as he grabs her hand, “Till the fucking wheels come off baby.”   Sara & Simon clung to this line as the exemplification of their devotion to each other this entire wedding (and had the back of their golf cart decorated with the line).  These two are the coolest and I felt SO lucky to be along for this ride (so I’m guessing the show is worth the watch).

The wedding was at the Pine Brook Country Club in Sara’s hometown of Weston.  And while the weather kept us from holding the ceremony outside like we planned, we all decided the romantic rain and the intimacy of the indoor ceremony space was a much cooler vibe. And we still managed to take the golf cart for a spin for outdoor photos when the clouds parted during cocktail hour.   The way these two clung to each other’s hands the entire day showed me their quiet bond. Their connection was palpable. To S&S- congrats you two- you really are the best. To everyone else- enjoy these sneek peeks by the incomparable Mark Spooner.
