We can plan and plan and plan but sometimes you just have to expect the unexpected. Lexie & Amr were a dream client. They live in Cali and put their full trust in me to the their “boots on the ground” while planning their June Boston wedding from the West Coast. They were SO much fun and we had a ton of laughs. We had made plans (and booked transportation) to bring the couple and their wedding party the few blocks from the Fairmont Copley to the Public Gardens for photos. What we did NOT plan for was for the Celtics to win the championship and for literally MILLIONS of people to be in Copley Square for the celebration parade on the afternoon of the wedding. The streets were gridlocked and we weren’t going anywhere for photos. So we roll and find other spots for photos, which were still insanely gorgeous. We planned for an outdoor courtyard ceremony and of COURSE we had a rain plan for the 125 chairs to be set indoors if rain was in the forecast. Rain was not in the forecast at 5PM when the amazing team at The Catered Affair set the chairs for the ceremony and the amazing Jimmy Guzman of JNG Event Consulting put in the gorgeous floral install. But when the skies opened up unexpectedly at the 7PM ceremony call time, we pull out our umbrellas and again, we roll. The craziness of the day and the rain honestly led to such an unforgettable and romantic ceremony that truly could never have been planned in a million years. It was pure magic. I am in awe of this couple for rolling with the punches with the best attitude ever and never losing focus on the importance and big picture of the day. I am grateful for the uber talented Ellen Sargent Photography for he ability to shepherd our couple through the unexpected and react to the changes without batting an eye. It was such an all-star team of vendors- definitely one for the books!!
